Mark Zachocki, President 
Mark is the founding member of American Fiber Services. A graduate of Purdue University, Mark worked for 14 years in the pulp and paper industry. During his early career, Mark managed North American recovered paper procurement for a major tissue manufacturer, managed pulp sales and distribution from two non integrated virgin pulp mills, developed and implemented a virgin and recovered fiber sourcing strategy in addition to a multitude of mill fiber procurement duties. Among his many strengths, Mark excels in contract negotiation and developing longstanding supply relationships based on the needs of both the generator and consumer of fiber. Mark and his wife, Kim, have two children and live in the greater Atlanta area.

Jack Lupas, Board Member
Jack Lupas is a 27 year veteran of the recovered paper recycling industry and one of the founders of American Fiber Services.  Along with his 15 plus years of experience in brokerage and trading, Jack has been involved in the design and construction of several recovered paper plants and has a vast knowledge of plant operations, equipment installation and supply chain management.  Jack has a BA from Franklin & Marshall College and currently resides in the Atlanta area with his wife Jan and their three daughters.
Jim Jenkin, Director of Sales
Jim earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Northern Michigan University. In addition to his University credentials, Jim is also a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM). Jim has over 20 years of experience at both the corporate and mill level in Recovered Fiber Procurement, Pulp Procurement, Pulp Sales, Pulp and Tissue Manufacturing Chemistry and Major Equipment Procurement. During his career he has lead Supply-Chain Optimization teams and coordinated global procurement efforts. He possesses extensive experience in both virgin and recovered fiber properties and in optimizing Recovered Fiber Operations at the mill level. Jim and his wife, Debbie, have two children and live in Appleton Wisconsin.
Jason Lavelle, Director of Sales
Jason graduated with a BA from the University of Vermont and MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He then worked as an English teacher in Nagoya, Japan and traveled throughout much of Asia. Jason started in the paper industry in 1990 with Casella Waste Management of Vermont in a recycling plant sales capacity. As a Canusa/Hershman employee, he was a mill buyer/broker at the former Bay State Paper-a 12,000 tpm, 100% recycled linerboard/medium mill in Boston, MA. He then spent the next 6+ years in export brokerage with Jordan Trading of Kingston, NY. Jason resides in Bristol, RI along with his wife, Beth, and their two children.

Brandy Whitlock, Broker
Brandy Whitlock joined AFS in April ’08.  With a background in sales and marketing, Brandy manages current accounts, develops new clientele, and creates new marketing strategies.  An avid Bulldog fan, Brandy graduated from the University of Georgia where she majored in English.  Outside of AFS, Brandy enjoys coaching cheerleading and practicing real estate.  She currently resides in Atlanta, GA.san posuere. Tenesha Baugh, Logistics Specialist
Tenesha relocated to Douglasville, GA from Minnesota in 2004 and joined AFS shortly thereafter.  She handles customer service and scheduling, plus all other administrative duties.  Outside of AFS, Tenesha is earning her Business Management Degree from the University of Phoenix in addition to raising her two sons.

Sarah Davis, Logistics Specialist
Originally from Michigan, Sarah and her family relocated to the Atlanta area in 2008. Sarah joined the AFS team in 2009.  Sarah handles scheduling and invoicing as well as customer service for AFS. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and is active in her church. Sarah and her husband have two daughters.

Tom Austin, Chief Financial Officer 
Tom joined American Fiber Services in February 2011 as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.  He is responsible for all finance/accounting, customer service, IT and corporate administrative functions of the company. Tom attained BA and MPA degrees from Valdosta State University and brings 15 years of extensive finance and operations experience to AFS. Most recently, he spent five years as the CFO for the US subsidiary of a German-based medical device company. Tom and his wife, Julie, have three daughters and live in northwest Atlanta.
Michelle Hughes, Logistics Specialist
Michelle was born in South Carolina but grew up in Georgia; however, both sides of her family are from Charlestown, SC.  In 2010, she joined AFS where she handles scheduling along with other administrative responsibilities.  Michelle went to Savannah College of Art and Design and Brevard College, where she graduated with a BA in Art.  Prior to joining the AFS team, she taught art and special education to elementary school students. Outside of the office, Michelle loves to paint, take photos, eat seafood, spend time outside and with her soon to be husband, Patrick.

Andy Grasty, Sales Director
Andy joined American Fiber Services after serving in the pulp and paper industry for over 30 years.  Most recently, Andy was North American Sales Manager for the Alabama River mills of Parsons & Whittemore Corp.  Prior to P&W, he worked 17 years with Georgia-Pacific in pulp sales where he served as Director of Domestic and Export Sales for paper and fluff pulp and 5 years with Hercules Inc. as a Buyer for wood pulp and specialty cellulose.  Andy brings to AFS vast knowledge and experience in sales and marketing throughout the paper industry and is recognized for his innovation in identifying customer needs and presenting solutions.  He has a BA from the University of Delaware and resides in Marietta, GA with his wife Jackie and their two daughters.

Sara Alvarez, Sales Manager, Latin America
Sara recently joined American Fiber Services and brings with her a wide experience in the pulp and secondary fiber markets.  In her last position with SCA Mexico, she purchased pulp from the US and South America for SCA’s 4 paper mills located in Mexico and worked with the Secondary fiber team and logistics. She was born in Uruapan Michoacán Mexico and graduated with a BA in Public Administration, as well as obtaining a Logistic and International Business degree.  Prior to SCA, Sara worked in the procurement and logistic department in an EPC firm for 4 years. Sara’s integration to the American Fiber team will extend our competitive advantage to Latin American Markets and lead to a better understanding of our customers' requirements.
